Apologies.
I’m about to name drop…
Kate Moss, Sir Phillip Green, Simon Cowell and of course, Beth Ditto – these were just some of the celebs at the launch of Beth Ditto’s new line for Evans last night.
Held at London hotspot, Sketch – it was a pretty chilled evening of Vodka Russians, gorgeous transvestites wearing Beth’s collection and delicious smelling but untouched canapes.
On arrival, I was handed a drink and directed to the main room, where my first eye contact was made with the lovely Kate. Looking very understated in all black, she was surrounded by friends, wannabe friends and well dressed guests who were trying to subtly get a photo of her on their blackberry’s.
I made my way past and scanned the crowd for familiar faces. Eventually I saw the lovely Leon Bailey Green and we got chatting and drinking…and drinking some more.
(Leon will hate me for using this pic instead of the 2nd one we took. Sorry Leon but I was pulling a very odd face in the other! x)
Leon introduced me to Steve of Style Salvage, who was there with his girlfriend, Susie of legendary blog;StyleBubble. We had a little natter before they headed to the karaoke room, for a bit of singstar fun with Ditto and the gang. I’m particularly tone deaf, so putting a microphone in my face, while I sing in a pitch that only dogs can hear is not a good look. Or sound. I opted for the bar instead.
As I picked up some more drinks, Sir Phillip walked past. Our eyes met and he gave me a VERY cheeky smile. ooh. I can’t say he’s my usual type but I think I blushed! He’s very tanned.
A few vodkas later and it was time to get myself home – but not before picking up a goody bag packed with The Gossip’s new cd, make up, jewellery and a scarf from Beth’s line.
And here I am, right now, still with last night’s wristband, wearing the Beth Ditto scarf as I type this post.
It’s far too early for pouting and not really the weather for a scarf….but hey.
